SERVICES

PREGNANCY TESTING

Pregnancy testing in urine or blood is one of the services that All Women’s Clinic offers. No appointment is required. You can just walk-in anytime during office hours.
Professionally performed pregnancy testing provides a reliable answer to patients within 15-20 minutes, enabling them to take the next step, whatever that may be.
If your urine pregnancy test is negative, we recommend doing a blood pregnancy test to verify it and make sure that you are not pregnant.

If the blood pregnancy test is negative means that you are not pregnant. In this case, we may provide you with a medication to assist with you gaining your period back within the next 14 days, at a nominal cost. We may also give you birth control to prevent any future scares and make your menstrual periods more predictable.

If your urine pregnancy test is positive, there is no need for a confirmatory blood pregnancy test. We would suggest that you get a gynecological exam and an early ultrasound, the cost of which would be applied as a credit towards the termination of pregnancy or the delivery. We will counsel you about all your options and will support any decision you make, whatever it may be. We may provide you with either obstetrical care or the type of termination (abortion by pill, vacuum aspiration, induction) that you require.

FETAL SEX DETERMINATION  IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY.

This novel test detects circulating cell-free fetal DNA from maternal blood. Performed using a simple blood sample from 11 to 14 weeks LMP, this test is 97.9% sensitive and 100% specific. However, this test is not a substitute for an ultrasound. It is not intended as a tool for medical diagnosis, and therefore is not covered by insurance. This test is not suitable for the determination of sex in multiple gestation (twins, triplets, etc). We support the ACOG Committee Opinion on Sex Selection, opposing the practice of using medical techniques to choose the sex of the offspring. Reasons for determining the fetal sex include the patient's or her partner's desire to know, choose baby's name, plan the nursery, and genetic/heath concerns.

PATERNITY TEST

Pre-birth Paternity DNA testing is now available. Why wait until your baby is born? This test can either exclude or confirm with over 99% accuracy who the biological father is by matching the fetal DNA that is present in your blood with the father's DNA.

As an alternative to DNA testing, an EARLY ULTRASOUND may give you the answer that you need, provided that there is an interval of at least two weeks between the dates of conception in question
